I've been working Computer Science since 1988. I finished my BSc in 1992 from University of Fortaleza then moved to Campinas where I finished my MSc in 1995 at Unicamp. In the same year I went to England to pursue my PhD at The University of York. Currently, I'm an associate professor in Computer Sciences at Florida Tech. My main research interests include Coordination systems (such as Linda), Self-organization, Swarm intelligence and Mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs)

I'm a Brazilian born in Fortaleza in the state of Ceará. I'm a big supporter of my football team Fortaleza Esporte Clube and started to contribute to Wikipedia to make sure my team is well represented. However I now find myself compelled to contribute to other areas that I'm familiar with. In particular the page of the Ceará state and the city of Fortaleza, as well as subjects related to my expertise in Computer Science.
